PITTMAN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LLC — ALWAYS THERE
Depression is a common illness and by some estimates 8 out of 10 people will experience a depressive episode at some point throughout their life cycle. Frequently the early symptoms of depression begin in childhood and will continue to build as we experience life stresses, trauma, and deaths; but ultimately major depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain that can not be controlled by human behavior or conditioning. Medications are used to correct the chemical imbalance.
Common symptoms of depression include fatigue, worry, social isolation, withdrawal, feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, worthlessness, appetite changes, irritability, decreased sex libido and insomnia. MEDICAL MARIJUANA MAY BE HELPFUL

Calls are not recorded and all technology is HIPPA compliant.

STATE OF DELAWARE APPROVED MEDICAL MARIJUANA
TARESA PITTMAN APN,PMHNP,BC
I am a Delaware native and I came from humble beginnings. I am also a first generation college student but I worked full-time and put myself through college. I have numerous degrees and my most recent is a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. I have over 25 years experience in healthcare and nursing is my second career. I have been a psychiatric nurse for over 15 years. I have worked in med/surg, ortho, geriatrics, detox, and dual diagnosis nursing. I have treated patients with alcohol, benzodiazepine, and opiate withdrawal. I was a nurse manager of a Level 5 forensics unit governed by the Department of Corrections and on an acute admissions unit, each at Delaware Psychiatric Center the local state hospital located in New Castle. At DPC, I cared for chronic severely mentally ill patients.
I have worked in some of the most disadvantaged areas of North and West Philadelphia, I have seen a lot and I have a vast array of experience. But yet and still psychiatric nursing is what I love to do and I look forward to coming to work each day. I believe in what I do and believe that medications can change lives for the better and make a profound positive impact on families and ultimately our community.
